Sebakwe, the Gentle Giant beside an inspirational survivor, Khanyisa an orphaned albino elephant.

A chilly morning and delicious green grass made little Khanyisa a little resistant to leaving the orphanage at first, but after a short while, she was out and about with her new family again.

Klaserie decides she was going to have an early morning swim in the colder weather and was joined by Mambo and Zindoga, while the rest of the herd looked on.

Sebakwe enjoyed a tummy scratch on the ever-satisfying rock at the dam, before they headed out into the reserve to forage for the day.

Khanyisa had her 10AM bottle from Reply, (after she decided to spit out a piece of bark in her mouth finally!) and soon continued to join Bubi and then hung out with Sebakwe for a while too. The sheer size difference between Sebakwe, the largest bull of the herd and Khanyisa, now the smallest calf of the herd, is so humbling, and something that amazes us to see every time we see them standing beside one another.
