...Source: https://cnevpost.com/2025/08/22/byd-f... Transcript: China EV Post is reporting that BYD’s sub-brand Fang Cheng Bao will officially launch and begin deliveries of its new Tai 7 SUV in September, with display models arriving in stores by the end of August.

The Tai 7 is a plug-in hybrid SUV and marks the second model in the brand’s Tai series. It comes in two versions: the all-wheel-drive long-range with a 35.6-kWh battery offering up to 112 miles of electric range, and a two-wheel-drive version with a smaller 26.6-kWh battery good for around 84 miles. When fully fueled and charged, the total range exceeds 800 miles.

It’s also the most spacious vehicle in Fang Cheng Bao’s lineup and focuses on urban and family driving, featuring a softer interior style. It includes BYD’s “God’s Eye” smart driving system, with buyers able to choose between models with or without LiDAR. The Tai 7 will also debut BYD’s newly developed in-house tablet system.

The vehicle rolled off the production line on August 11 and is part of Fang Cheng Bao’s shift into more mainstream SUV offerings, following the off-road focused Bao 5 and Bao 8 models. Pricing isn’t available yet, but more details are expected at next month’s launch.
