Scalloped Edge Napkins and Placemats

Описание к видео Scalloped Edge Napkins and Placemats

Creating a scalloped edged with a satin stitch finish is a technique that works wonderfully for the napkins and placemats shown here as well as many other projects, like the edge of a collar or the hem of the skirt. There are a number of options to create this type of finish along a raw edge. We decided on a padded satin stitch. It’s an easy technique that works especially well on all the bias edges of the scallops. The result is smooth, stable, and beautiful. You’ll combine a strand of pearl cotton floss in your favorite color with a matching color of heavier weight thread in both the top and bobbin. Get all the steps - as well as free downloads for the monogram alphabet and fleur de lis shown on our napkin samples. Go to the following links.
