At ARIAP, we believe that true transformation begins in the communities. Our work stems from our commitment to strengthening intercultural bilingual education, revitalizing indigenous languages, and improving community health in the Peruvian Amazon.

🌱 What we do:

📚 Intercultural Bilingual Education:
We train and support indigenous teachers to teach in their native language and Spanish, strengthening children's cultural identity and improving their reading comprehension and academic performance.

📖 Language Revitalization:
We create educational materials, books, and literacy workshops in indigenous languages ​​such as Shipibo-Konibo and Ashaninka, so that future generations can grow up proud of their culture.

🩺 Health and Well-being:
We promote community health campaigns, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle education, respecting traditional knowledge and combining it with modern medicine for the overall well-being of the communities.

🤝 Community Empowerment:
We support community leaders and families in projects that revive ancestral practices, foster community participation, and strengthen their autonomy.

🔎 Research and Dissemination:
We conduct studies and facilitate dialogue spaces that highlight the realities of indigenous peoples, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights respected locally, nationally, and internationally.
