Roebuck Plains Roadhouse is a legendary road house about 35 kilometres from the town of Broome. It's located at the junction of the Great northern Highway which runs from Perth to Kununurra. The road house is a favourite for drivers as it offers top class food, good service and clean showers.
The drivers of the cattle road trains had just taken a break for a meal and shower after unloading, before heading out to the bush for another load of cattle at daylight the following day. The Toll truck in the video is probably heading towards Darwin from Perth.
