At this point you will be done with both the water vapor and oil vapor tests (Note: Oil vapor test required for Oil Classes 1 & 2 only). If the timer for the filter test has already gone off, then you’re done! If it hasn’t then wait until the filter time is complete.

Close the control valve or regulator at the sampling port and remove the sampling hardware. Unthread the filter cassette from the NPT adaptor and flowmeter, recap and *record the total sampling time on the data sheet in Section 5A. Disassemble the remaining hardware and place back into the original containers. Don’t forget to remove the Swagelok fitting from the sampling port if it was provided with your rental kit.

Place the filter cassette along with the tubes into the pre-addressed sampling media box. Double check that all information is legible and provided on the data sheet. Sign, date and place it in the return box. If you own the AirCheck kit, you only need to return the sample to Trace Analytics laboratory. The sample must be returned no more than 30 days from the date it was sampled. If you rented the AirCheck kit, use the return shipping label and send everything back to Trace’s lab.

Please note the sampling media can only be used once. If you should have to stop or abort a test, mark the sample void and return the sampling media to Trace.
