Project Based Learning | Ethan Young | TEDxUWMadison

Описание к видео Project Based Learning | Ethan Young | TEDxUWMadison

At every university in the world, students aspire to get an education, prepare for their careers, and hopefully learn about what inspires them. Tired of succumbing to traditional experiences in traditional classrooms, Ethan Young, an Engineering student at the University of Wisconsin -Madison, opted to challenge these conventions. Ethan uses his student organization to prove the necessity for project-based, interdisciplinary learning in our educational systems and challenge the status quo in higher education.

Ethan Young is the Founder and President of Insight Wisconsin, the premier organization for “Student Inventors” on the UW-Madison campus. Members work in interdisciplinary project teams on structured design projects proposed by researchers, corporate partners, and members themselves. Concurrently, Ethan is a sophomore Chemical Engineering student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx
