SDI - FTT 111 - Final Project (Fasteners Repair Lab)

Part One:

Please submit photos or video of the following steps and milestones in this project:

● Fasteners installed into holes drilled into metal plate

● Fasteners broken or cut off

● Short video of one fastener being removed using screw extractor

● Photo of hole drilled and tapped

● Final fastener installed and blued using Permablue

Submission Requirement: For academic integrity purposes, if you've chosen to submit photos instead of a video, please include a piece of paper that has your name, date, and course title next to your work in the first and last photos of your submission. With video submissions, for academic integrity purposes, showing your face is required. Also, be sure to begin by stating your name and the date.

Part Two:

In a short essay, answer the following prompts:

Summarize the procedure used to remove broken fasteners, install new ones, and coat them with bluing solution.
Reflect on the relationship between diagnosing firearms and performing fastener repair. Incorporate what you have learned from the Discussion in Week 7.
