The investigation into singer Zubeen Garg's death in Singapore has intensified following a sensational claim from his bandmate, Goswami, that he was poisoned. Initially reported by Singapore Police as a drowning accident on 19th of September, the case is now being investigated as murder. Goswami alleged that Zubeen's manager, Siddharth, and another individual, Shyamkarnu, killed him in a conspiracy. He claims that when Zubeen Garg struggled to breathe, Siddharth dismissed it, stating, "It's fine, let him go." Four people have been arrested, with Zubeen's manager and an event organiser charged with murder. Following this, Assam Chief Minister Hemant Vishwasarma ordered a judicial inquiry. An accused has since moved the Supreme Court, seeking a probe by the CBI or NIA and alleging a "witch-hunt" by the Assam Police.
