People of Guwahati, here we are presenting you "The beautiful city GUWAHATI, Assam, India" from a new perspective. Its for the first time that a hyperlapse and timelapse video of our city has been made.
Guwahati, a city in Assam which is in the Northeastern part of India, one of the seven sisters of India.
It is the "Gateway of North East".
"Pragjyotishpura", was its ancient name and "Gauhati" in modern era. The largest city of Assam and is one of the fastest growing cities in India.
It lies between the banks of mighty Brahmaputra and the foothills of the Shillong plateau.
Getting the 17th position among all the large and medium cities in India in 2006, the city provides beautiful scenic landscapes and pleasant climate, modern shopping areas and apartments and considerably developed infrastructures.
With diversified cultures and religions, its literacy rate stands at an astounding mark of 91.47%.
Guwahati has the World's smallest river island. It is the first and the only city to have a city animal, The Gangetic river dolphin, with an astonishingly beautiful Zoo. The contrast between the man made structure and the nature is pretty amazing and soothing to the eyes.
