Op 28 oktober 2018 rijden de laatste treinen van Stadskanaal naar Musselkanaal. De baan is te slecht geworden om veilig vervoer te kunnen garanderen en geld voor een opknapbeurt is er niet. Cabview Holland kreeg weer volledige mederking van STAR om deze allerlaatste rit met de Diesel vast te leggen.
