Wanna see my party trick? This is my omnichord and it comes from Outer Space. I know this because there’s a picture on the 80’s manual it comes with of an alien handing one to a human. It’s truly vintage because they don’t make them anymore. I saw @themeaghansmith playing it live at a show and I simply had to have one. So here it is! My omnichord. Its most charming feature is the magnetic strip on the side, down and up which you can run your finger, elbow, or other chosen body part to make twinkly noises.

This song was delightful to write and stayed in my head for months. Do you ever get the feeling that you really, really like someone, so much so that you hope they don’t see how jittery they make you? That’s what Skip a Beat is all about - with a French twist! (I’m kind of obsessed with French - something you may not have known about me! It can be exceptionally hard to rhyme in French and have it make sense when it’s your second language - this somehow, by a mystifying miracle, worked out!).
