This is the third of our Lexus IS200 Build series. With the BMW E36 getting rare and everything Nissan/Toyota getting really expensive it's left a gap in the market. With lower purchase costs, good chassis and good looks could the Lexus IS200 Fill that gap? Ren has had a crazy idea, and Jeek made him commit to it. The idea is as follows - Step 1 - Find and buy a Lexus IS200. Step 2 - Drift Prepare it so it's ready to jump in and use. Step 3 - Give it away with a free Driftland Bash Weekend Driver ticket!

After episode 2 it became apparent that the diff needed to be welded IMMEDIATELY. Time to get the car into the garage, onto the ramp and for a quick look underneath - everything looks far too good under there, not even an oil leak! So, Ren works out how the diff comes out and sets about it whilst Jeek sweeps the track. By the time Jeek is back.... nope Ren still has loads to do. After a couple of hours it's time for Ren to learn how to a) MIG weld and b) weld a diff. Ren's not a fan. Still, some very quick tops from Jeek and it's time to get cracking.

Small tip - it seems if you collect all your diff oil and brake cleaner in a basin, then make sure you keep that basin nice and far away from things like the chop saw.
