This video shows a basic terrain rendering algorithm using a quadtree for level of detail (LOD) and frustum culling. The camera moves along a predefined path, represented by the blue line. The frustum is shown in red. Each square drawn contains the same amount of triangles. The squares further away from the camera are bigger than the squares near the camera. Because of the distance the decreased level of detail is not visible. The picture in picture shows the view from the camera. When areas switch to a higher or lower level of detail a certain amount of 'popping' is visible. This is work in progress.
