70% Decline In Youth Vaping! But What Now?

According to the newest CDC National Youth Tobacco Survey data, not only does youth vaping not lead to smoking, but youth vaping doesn't even lead to youth vaping. Between it's peak in 2019 and 2024 youth vaping has dropped 70%. All youth nicotine use is at historic lows in 2024. It's not skyrocketing, It's never been skyrocketing. I don't' even know if I would call the 2019 peak "skyrocketing" either considering it was still lower than cigarette smoking was among youth in the 90's, but that's just me.
