"A set of five inert 10 gauge shotgun shell cases. A lovely set of ammunition. Not considered universally obsolete. These shells bear no markings other than those pertaining to their calibre. 10 gauge shotgun shells (also known as 10 bore in British English) were used in a wide variety of shotguns. A favourite of ours, the Winchester Model 1887, is a very famous example of this. On the surface, the 10 gauge shotgun shell is often overshadowed by more popular alternatives such as the 12 gauge shotgun shell. 10 gauge shotgun shells, according to some public records, are also rarely manufactured."
