Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has framed Operation Sindoor as more than a military response. Speaking from Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi complex, Singh said India followed Lord Ram’s principle of dignity even in war, conducting a limited, controlled and purposeful operation against terrorism. Addressing a gathering after a flag-hoisting ceremony, Singh said the objective of Operation Sindoor was to punish terrorists without abandoning righteousness. He said the Indian Army entered enemy strongholds, taught terror groups a lesson, and withdrew without escalating conflict. Calling the Ram temple movement the world’s grandest narrative, Singh said it united people across borders and faiths over a 500-year non-violent struggle. He linked spiritual strength with national resolve, saying Lord Ram’s Pran-Pratishtha symbolised India’s rising moral and strategic power. Singh also highlighted rapid development in Ayodhya, improved infrastructure, and broader growth across the Avadh region under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He concluded by saying India’s strength lies in balancing power with principles.
