What's Interesting Wednesday.A Train Smorgasbord Maitland Steamfest 2024

There are plenty of trains going past when Maitland Steamfest is on. In this case we have an triple headed empty Pacific National coal train with 9303, 9203 and TT131 on the head. The Endeavour railcar has 2853 leading. Waiting in the wings are NSWDR 4501, 5201 and 4916 whilst NSWGR simmers.

The original footage was taken as slowmotion, which didn't turn out the way I liked and also lacked sound. Bits of this video are sped up and a different soundtrack is added.

The Maitland Steamfest ( https://www.steamfest.com.au ) was held on the weekend of 13-14Apr2024. Transport Heritage NSW ( https://www.thnsw.com.au/events ) provided two trains to run shuttles over the weekend; one headed by NSWGR 6029, the other by NSWGR 3526.

What's Interesting Wednesday. I have a bunch of videos of stationary and traction steam engines, old rail motors, modern trains that happen to show up whilst waiting for steam trains, old tractors, and just 'stuff' that interests me and so might interest you. I've therefore decided that Wednesday will be the day reserved for interesting stuff that isn't steam trains.
