How To Fix A Loose Stratocaster Guitar Jack Socket

Описание к видео How To Fix A Loose Stratocaster Guitar Jack Socket

How To Fix A Loose Stratocaster Guitar Jack Socket, a common issue with your electric guitar. You should avoid leaving a wobbily jack socket too long because of the risk of twisted internal wires becoming stressed and eventuall breaking in addition to possibly loosing the external hex nut fixture. The level of this maintenance is EASY/NOVICE. If the wires have become unsoldered then you will need to identify the positive (jack tip) usually the white wire and the negative (jack ring & earth) usually the black wire. Strip and prepare the wire for resoldering if neccessary; and don;t use too much heat or you will melt the wires.

You will need:
- a cross-head screwdriver
- a 12mm (or similar) hex socket head and wrench attachment
