Meigs county sheriff deputy runs over Shane Dotson and another deputy in Shane's front yard while trying to illegally tow his vehicle!
In this incident the deputy claims he earlier seen Shane's daughter driving the jeep without a driver's license, when the deputy showed up to Shane's house Rylee (Shane's daughter) was not in or near the vehicle he claimed to see her driving earlier. The deputy wrote a violation for driving under suspension and placed it on the vehicles window. He left and met with another deputy were they decided to have the vehicle impounded and called for a tow vehicle that they met at the gas station in tuppers plains ohio and returned to Shane's house to tow his vehicle. Shane was pulling in with dinner when he seen what was happening, when told they was towing it and that they had not followed her but claimed to see her driving earlier he refused to let them to his vehicle not his daughters vehicle and moved the vehicle into his yard and away from the flat bed tow truck. At this point the deputies took after him in the sheriff vehicles resulting in Shane being run over and the other deputy hit by a sheriff deputy.
Shane is now being held for assault on a police officer and other charges with 100k cash bond and his daughter held on a 50k cash bond for driving under suspension.
