Wash n Dry SEASON 2 Episode 16

Welcome back!

Last wash n dry episode of 2024, ending it with something rare and epic.

Today, we're using a classic 80s' original old ipso WE110/132. I'm not sure about the model because the sign on the wall says 13KG but the sign on the program buttons (which isn't original) says 10KG.. But it looks like a we110 to me (10kg) by looking at the drum.

Now, this is a very rare version, it has slightly different action than the usual ones!

The tumbles are very fast almost to distribution, (that's it's normal speed, it's not faulty!) before starting a spin, it does distribution then launches to spin unlike the usual ones that tumble first then kick into spin. And finally, this is an original 550RPM max spin speed versions, unlike the other ipso WE hardmounts here. The rest of them here are ultra rare 800RPM max spin speed versions, but here the classic 550RPM ones are very rare. I've filmed plenty of 800rpm ones before.

Anyways, let's begin in!

We are washing one blanket, in program 60C° with pre-wash, 550RPM final spin.

Drying in the old A.D.C./ipso stacked gas dryer with the gas flame visible.

This is a very nice vintage place, in good condition. Although, my machine had one little problem... At some parts the water pressure was extremely bad, although it filled up in a normal time, it was bad for some seconds then for some other seconds it was good and repeat. Unstable water pressure anyway.

But what surprised me the most, on the second rinse I could not see a SINGLE DROP of water in the detergent compartments while it was supposed to fill, and the drum filled up perfectly fine!? I don't know how that was possible. Otherwise both of these old mechanical ipsos were in nice condition. At first when I saw the extremely bad pressure on the start of the pre-wash I was "scared" that it will take probably one hour and a half to finish with that pressure. But as I said, sometimes it had good and sometimes bad water pressure. But yeah, it did work fine after all.

The ironing machine is out of order but it's reasonable with how old it is.

Enjoy!
