It is always wise to have more than one power source in order to cook. If the electricity goes off for any reason you will be left with nothing to even boil a kettle.
We didn't want to be left in this position so I bought a 4 burner gas hob cooker online from NJ Commerce
Along with regulator/gas cylinder connector and one and a half metre hose pipe, the whole thing came to about £75.
I called in at a local shop and bought a 6k gas cylinder/bottle. This cost £44. ( I probably should have shopped around and got this cheaper. )
This is how I connected it all up.
