A new study reveals that horses can actually smell our fear.

Researchers collected armpit odors from participants when they were scared, neutral and happy, then presented these scents to horses.

The study found that these odors affected the horses' behavior. Horses exposed to scents from participants who watched scary footage were more likely to get startled and were less inclined to approach people or explore unfamiliar objects.
