Technology is truly advancing toward a future where today’s AI could evolve into AGI—and from there, give birth to a superintelligence powerful enough to surpass the human brain itself.

The question is: will this path bring us blessings, or open the door to unknown dangers?

What we use now is called AI, or Artificial Intelligence. But more specifically, this is Narrow AI—because it’s only good at specific
tasks. For example, ChatGPT can generate text, image recognition software can identify faces, and Google can retrieve the information we need. But this Narrow AI cannot do everything at once the way humans can.

The next step is AGI – Artificial General Intelligence. AGI would be much more like a human mind. Just as we can study, cook, listen to music, and solve problems all at the same time—AGI would also have the ability to learn, reason, and adapt across multiple areas.

In simple terms, AGI would be a form of universal intelligence.
