Nushki was taken from khan of kallat by Indian government in 1899. In 1902, a railway of 150kilometer was sanctioned from Quetta to Nushki and it was completed in 1905. This railway made Nushki the starting-point of the caravan route to Siesta. Nushki is a historic gateway between Afghanistan and Iran.

Nushki is famous for its amazing railway tracks and tunnels. Noshki is also called "The City of Golden Desert"
