When the 3:35 edit version of Disco Inferno was released to radio stations. It didn't do very good. Because many in the music business took the lyrics literally rather than metaphorically. But it was given a 2nd life when the full almost 11 minute version was added to the Saturday Night Fever movie soundtrack.
