The Gombey is a Bermudian cultural icon that has it's origins in both African and Native American rhythms and costumes. Mr. Trott was first introduced to the Gombey culture at the age of six, and forty-four years later, has dedicated his life to practicing and passing on this tradition to future generations.

The Troupe currently has 24 members consisting of 9 musicians and 15 dancers, ranging in age from 4 years to 60+ years. The captain is Harley Place and the Junior-captain is Sakima Richards. The Troupe has performed in many places outside of Bermuda, including several Native American powwows through ancestral connections with the Pequot Tribe.
