Demat or Statement of Account in Mutual Funds. Which is Better?

Demat accounts are basically digital vaults to hold your shares. They are electronic records tracking the ownership of your shares. Statement of Account or SOA is a traditional way of holding mutual fund units. You will be dealing directly with the AMC if you opt for the Statement of Account. The AMC issues a statement showing your mutual fund holdings after the mutual fund units are allotted to you.
