Lockdown sceptic Richard Madeley says large numbers of people “are pretty much ignoring this lockdown” telling Kevin O’Sullivan “this is what happens when government’s lie to people…and when government scientists spin the facts.”

The broadcaster went on to tell Kevin O’Sullivan that he does not plan to break lockdown "but I don't blame people who do", adding "the government has lost the consent of the people."
