Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs for your rear axle. Now this kit here is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2003 to 2009 Chevrolet and GMC G 1500 vans. And on a custom fit part like this one, I do recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle, and it'll show you if this will work for your application. Now this kit here will maximize safe load carrying capacity, increase stability and improve the ride quality of your vehicle.

These do install between your vehicle's frame and its rear suspension. They will help keep your vehicle level when you're hauling a heavy load. They will improve steering control and braking when you're hauling or towing. They even help level your headlight beams and reduce tire wear. They are a single convoluted Ride-Rite air spring, which is designed to give you maximum load support and enhance the performance and ride comfort of your vehicle.

It'll help you maintain even low distribution with air pressure leveling off any off center loads and the airbags do adjust manually side to side if you use individual inflation valves. Now the adjustable pressure on these springs is five PSI to a hundred PSI. These will reduce the strain on your rear suspension. They do prevent permanent sagging and excessive friction in your leaf springs. They increase stability, help absorb road shock for a nice smooth ride, and they'll soften the contact between the axle and the frame to prevent bottoming out.
