A reflection on a love lost, FITR is about seeing yourself through the eyes of the partner who had to leave you. "This song was written not long after the demise of my engagement. Its the painful truth of my own shortcomings, the missed signals given by a fading love, playing on repeat in my mind, the subject of which is irreversibly long gone". 

Live off the floor with multi instrumentalist and piano virtuoso, Alexander Ward, they recorded side by side at Little Red Sounds, "the song is so intimate I knew I needed to be close to Alex when he played". The specifically classical direction is a departure from the rest of the roots tinged record, but FITR has always been a corner stone of Persephone, being one of the first songs written for the record, it set the bar for its sophisticated, personal and eclectic nature.

The video was shot in Todos Santos, a sleepy town about an hour north of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Weaving in themes of death and reflection, Colleen is seen singing in a beautiful, ancient graveyard and in flashback sequences weaving through a crowd at a Day of the Dead festival. The video hints at the perspective of a lover following in the flashbacks, and though tender, the looks exchanged suggest there is something not quite right between the subjects. Cuts intercept to Colleen, alone on a motorcycle riding through the desert. This is a nod to Colleens own motorbike, and namesake of the record, Persephone, as well as symbolic of her departure from Vancpuver and the industry, determind to find her own way and leave the past behind, however scary or painful that may be.
