Save 40-70% on your electricity bills. Yes, it is actually possible. A lot of our money is going to waste in our electricity bills, just because of our building structure. Our buildings lack insulation and many other components which causes our electrical appliances to work more, and hence they use more electricity and more greenhouse emissions occur.

But, the solution for this is energy efficiency and retrofitting. Retrofitting not just reduces our electricity bills but also, reduces overall emissions to the environment from our buildings. Many governments from the world have already committed for new zero by 2050. So, retrofitting is also beneficial for government climate goals. This is the reason many governments are supporting retrofitting.

Retrofitting happens inside as well as outside the house. The walls, windows, roof, ceiling and doors are insulated with a good insulation material. While, on the inside of the house, lights, HVAC and solar panels are added.

I have discussed the equivalencies for our electronic devices with the emissions of a petrol car. The equivalencies are assumed as:
Grid CO₂ intensity: 0.713 kg CO₂ per kWh consumed
Petrol car emission: 0.122 kg CO₂ per km driven
