Back to Basics: The Decimate Modifier

If you are working with a 3d scan, a heavily subdivided model, or a hard surface model where you just went a little heavy on the topology, the decimate modifier might be exactly what you need to get your poly counts under control without turning your creation into a glob of undetailed mush.
