A trekking expedition in the Himalayas to Everest Base Camp ("EBC"), which is also the base camp used for Lhotse.
Everest is the world's highest mountain at 8,848m / 29,029ft.
Lhotse is the world's 4th highest mountain at 8,516m / 27,940ft.

This was the very first trek we did in the Himalayas in 2013 and it was a life-changing adventure. EBC is the south base camp of Everest, located in Nepal. We trekked the direct route up the Khumbu Valley. In 2017 we trekked the Everest Circuit via Gokyo. In 2019, we visited the north base camp of Everest, in Tibet.

We loved the Himalayas so much that we created Project Base8000. Our goal was to trek to the base camps of all the world's 14 highest mountains over 8000m. We completed our project in 2023.
