Illinois Tech's Stuart School of Business is a long been a leader in innovation in business education.

In 1990, the Stuart School invented quantitative finance as an academic discipline with the world’s first master’s program in the field--the M.S. in Financial Markets & Trading (FMT). This program created a new model for embedding career readiness and industry connections into postgraduate academics. Today, the program is known as the M.S. Finance.
