Medical Device Innovation - Venner PneuX TM

An inventive NHS team in Kings Lynn has developed three innovations that have been demonstrated to improve patient safety in critical care. The Oxford AHSN is supporting the uptake of these devices across its region and beyond.

The PneuX System is a cuffed ventilation tube and an electronic cuff monitoring and inflating device that prevents leakage of bacteria-laden oral and stomach contents to the lung. It has been included in the NHS England Innovation and Technology Tariff, essentially making its adoption cost neutral for NHS providers.

The Oxford Academic Health Science Network is a partnership of NHS providers, commissioners, universities and life science companies working together to improve health and prosperity in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire.
