The Labour leader has announced new counter-terrorism powers to tackle people-smuggling gangs bringing migrants across the Channel.

James says the measures are “as hard as Starmer can go” and suggests illegal migrants “should never have a chance of settling” in the UK.

Matthew explains that Starmer’s plan ensures migrants ‘are recorded in the system’.
