As explained in the first video on my Road to DPS Build (   • The Division 2: Potomac Event Center - Roa...  ), I'm thinking about playing some raids and I need to ramp up my character's Critical Hit Chance (CHC) and Critical Hit Damage (CHD), which started with a good 60% CHC (actually it's the cap) and humbling 34% CHD (according to the community, to be "raid ready" a DPS build needs to have at least 50% CHC and 120% CHD).

So I set forth to up my CHD, which means besides switching to the specific gear combo I need to loot some rare gear mods (three 12% CHD mods). The only way to do so is to play missions (or the Summit) in the highest level and hope for a good loot. As of now I have 50+% CHC and 140+% CHD, which is decent. With a bit more grinding I would be able to get a few %'s up.

This brings me back to playing the missions again. Mostly to up my agent's SHD level (in turn adds CHD to up to 20%) and loot some rare gear mods. So I played a mission with a higher chance of dropping this gear type. Today was the Lincoln Memorial.

Heroic is the hardest difficulty in this mission. And it's actually not that bad. If you know what you are doing and be careful, you can do it with a good gear set. This video is to show how I approach this mission. I'm not claiming it's the best/fastest, but surely works. It's also fun to see how a DPS build tears through the enemies.

In this mission I was trying another DPS build that is built around an SMG, in particular again the Dark Winter named SMG, which has a special talent called Perfect Killer boosting 50% of CHD for 10s if it kills an enemy with a critical hit. To maximize the stats, I used the Hunter's Fury gear set which I have been using for the longest time. But different from my previous Hunter's Fury gear configuration, I experimented another one that included a chest piece and a backpack (found this from a recent YouTuber).

A Hunter's Fury chest piece has a talent called "Endless Hunger" which increases the weapon damage buff from 10s to 30s; while a Hunter's Fury backpack has a talent called "Overwhelming Force" which increases the radius of disorient effect from 5m to 10m. Using these means I need to give up the Intimidate and Kill Confirmed talents. However, turns out it's worth doing it as it allows my agent to finish enemies before they finish mine, and frees up the mask slot for the Coyote's exotic Mask. So here is the setup:

Primary: Dark Winter (SMG), 14.7% SMG Damage, 18.5% CHC, 10% CHD
Secondary: Scorpio (Shotgun), 15% Shotgun Danage, 12% Damage to Armor, 10% CHD
Sidearm: TDI "Kard" Custom (Pistol, doesn't really matter but it adds 1 skill)
Mask: Coytote's Mask, 15% Weapon Damage, 6% CHC, 12% CHD, 5.8% CHC
Chest piece: Hunter's Cage, 15% Weapon Damage, 12% CHD, 11.6% CHD
Backpack: Hunter's Kit, 15% Weapon Damage, 6% CHC, 11.6%CHD
Gloves: Firm Handshake, 15% Weapon Damage, 15% Status Effects, 12% CHD
Holster: Hunter's Quiver, 14.8% Weapon Damage, 12% CHD
Kneepads: Hunter's Stride, 12.3% Weapon Damage, 12% CHD

Together with 10% Weapon Damage, 10% CHC, and 16.4% CHD from the SHD watch and some mods on the SMG, this build has 51.3% CHC and 149.6% CHD for the SMG. But the real power comes from the extra 50% CHD from the SMG if an enemy is killed with a critical hit, and the extra 25% CHD from the mask if the last enemy is hit within 15m. So if all you are doing is close range you can reliably get over 225% CHD. At the current state (a few Weapon Damages are not yet maxed out) you are getting over 3M DPS!

An issue with this DPS build however is the defence is almost non-existent. It completely relies on the 20% Armor on Kill and 100% Health on Kill from the Hunter's Fury set (as you can see in the video there were a few close calls). To be able to go through this mission one really needs to know the area and weak points of the enemies, especially the bosses'.
