In this video you will learn how behaviour and environmental factors, such as chemicals and viruses, can change how gene expression is regulated (turned on or off) in cells. Two examples of such epigenetic regulation are discussed, DNA methylation and histone modification. Real-life examples of how exercise and compounds green tea can modify gene regulation in a positive way are explored. Examples of changes epigenetic regulation causing disease are also outlined.
