In this video you will learn how you can reformat image files, with the Field to Image Tool from Bot Tools.

Use Case

You will be taken through a simple use case of a user sending an image of themselves to the chat bot. The chat bot will then send the image file back to the user as an image, rather than a link. Other use cases include populating templates with large images.

Implementation

First you need to create a custom field for the ‘user image’ within ManyChat. Then, within Bot Tools, you can select whether the image will be populated by a user field or a bot field, as well as the name of that field. This field will dictate where the images are generated within the bot.

User fields can be used if the customer is giving an image, bot fields can be used if you are sending an image within a flow. If you have a large chat bot, you can use this tool to place images without ever having to visit the flow.

Once you have put in your preferences, click onto the blue ‘Copy URL’ button. Then return to the flow and paste the URL into the ‘Request URL’ section of the dynamic content block. Following this, click ‘Body’ followed by ‘Full Subscriber Data’, and then ‘Save’.
