Sarah Joseph Contemporary Caribbean Artist

Описание к видео Sarah Joseph Contemporary Caribbean Artist

An artist whose colours sing off the page faster than a Caribbean Calypso. Sarah uses her art to express emotion; to express life at its most vibrant; to touch people's hearts with its beauty.

Raised in Trinidad, she now lives in the UK, and has brought her unique, whimsical light to brighten the gritty streets of Sheffield.

Her Mocko Jumbie folklore stiltwalkers now strut through Sherwood Forest. Her symbolist art brings tropical colour to English city centres. It isn't just whimsy - her work has symbolic and emotional depth, drawing on deep subconscious resonances that move us as well as delight our senses.

As part of the Kelham Island Artist Community, and the Peak District Artisans, her work has been displayed at exhibitions and galleries across Britain.

Sarah is featured in the 2024 Sheffield Botanical Gardens Art Exhibition as a VIP artist in its stunning glass pavilion. Surrounded by tropical plants, it's the most perfect venue to see her work.

Art, for Sarah, is an emotional compulsion. Her joy and enthusiasm for her art is infectious. I hope this video does it justice.
