Edison invented the wax Cylinder record player around 1877. They played the record kind of like a sewing machine, up and down.

This one is an Indestructible Cylinder Record of the song "I've Got Rings On My Fingers" 204 sung by Ada Jones it is from around 1909. This one was sold in the Montgomery Ward catalogue, they were the first Catalogue company in the US, Sears came later.

We also unboxed a Neil Diamond Half Speed Master of the record "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" from around 1977.
