Valmonica Exosister | New Archetype from Valiant Smasher (DBVS) | Edopro Replays & Decklist

Valmonica will be a interesting archetype. I love when Konami create archetypes which uses the Life Points as a way to pull out their mechanics. Still, they will surely receive more support soon, because as of now, they're promising, but clearly not everything is there yet to show its potential.

Since we do not have many "take damage" archetypes or cards (do mind that "paying" is not considered as "take damage"), we better rely archetypes that gives us some defense, draw power or LP gains. Take P.U.N.K. and Aromages as archetypes of which would work well with this one (I decided by not recording this with P.U.N.K. as the next deck I'll post will have it as an engine and I've seen that other Yugituber did it with Aromages.)

As of now, it isn't really worth playing with Beyond the Pendulum. The deck does not have enough gas (again, in this first wave) to pull a lot of summons and make Beyond the Pendulum worthwhile. Also, most of the time, what made me win was the hand traps holding out.

Still ways to go with future support, at least we can have a glimpse of what this archetype can do. To be real, it is a slow (but efficient) control deck and their effects work around that: Ye probably ain't gonna build big boards, but it ain't really necessary for this archetype as it has decent protection by itself though its Link 1's and traps.
