A major development has emerged in the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam investigation. The Enforcement Directorate has revealed shocking details about a large-scale bribery network linked to the liquor supply system during the tenure of YSR Congress Party government.

According to the investigation, officials and intermediaries allegedly collected around ₹3,500 crore in bribes through the liquor supply network. Out of this amount, about ₹1,048.45 crore has been traced, detailing how and from whom the money was collected.

The ED report states that 10 major distilleries and supply companies, which received the highest liquor supply orders, allegedly paid ₹794.77 crore in bribes. Additionally, another four distilleries were reportedly used as fronts, through which ₹253.68 crore was siphoned off.

Investigators also found that the accused and their associates allegedly invested the illegal money in the real estate sector, purchasing large properties and assets.
