A Taste of Honey (Herb Alpert) - Brass Quintet

Описание к видео A Taste of Honey (Herb Alpert) - Brass Quintet

Here's Herb Alpert's version of "A Taste of Honey" arranged by me for Brass Quintet.

The song was originally written by Bobby Scott and Ric Marlow for a Broadway production (and later, a film). It's been covered by an impressive list of artists including Lenny Welch (1961), The Beatles (1962), Peggy Lee (1963), Paul Desmond (1965), and of course Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass (1965). I considered doing a smartypants arrangement with lots of musical quotes from the various versions. But in the end, I just love the Herb Alpert sound, and I think that's what audiences will want to hear from a brass group playing this song. Have fun with this one (particularly the trumpets!)
