KPT RECOVERS 50 ACRES OF ILLEGAL ENCROACHED LAND WORTH RS 36200 MILLIONS.

In pursuance to the Implementation of *Prime Minister's Maritime Task Force Agenda Points*, 9th anti-encroachment operation at Machhar Colony, Keamari since 21 Jan 2025 was conducted to recover approximately 20 Acres of illegal encroached KPT land worth Rs 14,810.40 millions on 24th February 2025. The operation was led by Assistant Commissioner Karachi, undertaken on the instructions of Commissioner Karachi, in which 33 Wing Pakistan Rangers Sindh provided security to the team conducting recovery operations. KPT Anti-Encroachment team, Port Intelligence, Chief Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, KPT Port Security Force and Public Relations officials have participated effectively in the operation.

During the operation, approximately 100 illegal constructed Godowns, Chapras , under construction shops and shelters were demolished. KPT has so far conducted 9 operations to recover 2 acres of Docks Colony (Badar Colony), 4 acres of Younusabad, 1 acre of Parking Area, 1 acre soft encroachment, 0.085 acre of Keamari Market area, 8 acres of Hijrat Colony, 8 acres of Sikandarabad, 4.8 acres of Plot No. 5-8 Jungle Shah and 20 acres of Machhar Colony have been recovered whose total worth is Rs 36,193.461 millions. As per direction of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Task Force with the assistance and support of the Government of Sindh and the Law Enforcement Agencies, the anti-encroachment operation on encroached KPT land will continue till all the precious land is recovered from the land grabbers.
