Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson ratchet tie-down straps with the built-in web clamps. Four ratchet straps are included with this part number. These tie-down straps let you secure cargo in your truck bed or trailer. One of the coolest features is the spring loaded web clamp, that's this piece right here. This holds all the excess strap neatly in place on the ratchet handle. Just roll it up, place it under the spring loaded web clamp, let go, and it secures it in place.

This helps prevent the unused strap from tangling or flapping in the wind as you go down the road. You don't have to worry about it dragging and you don't have to worry about it getting dirty and you don't have to worry about tying it off to the side of your trailer. The ratchet mechanism is made from a steel construction, features nice protective finishing on it. You don't have to worry about rust or corrosion. Makes it very easy to tighten down the strap and maintain tension on the strap. It's got a nice, large, comfortable grip handle there.

And it's got the easy to access single finger push button release. If you open it up to the ratcheting position, nice, easy motion. No kinking or binding. When you're ready to release the tension, you push up on that release lever. Open the clamp to the fully open position and this is going to allow you to release any tension applied to the strap.

That way you can easily and safely release tension and unload your gear. Now the S hooks have a hardened steel core to ensure they won't bend or flex. Nice protective vinyl coating on the S hooks, prevents scratches to gear. The strap is made from a sturdy polyester webbing. It features a really nice stitched design for maximum durability. It's got heavy duty stitching here at thee connection point for the hook.

And it has side stitching to prevent edge wear and tear. The strap dimensions, each one is going to measure the same. They measure one inch wide by 10 feet long. Each strap features a safe working load limit of 500 pounds with a maximum load or brake strength of 1,500 pounds.Few other measurements I want to mention for you real quick. You want to make sure that these are going to work for your particular anchor points. These are pretty traditional S hooks. They have a diameter of 3/8 of an inch and that is including the vinyl coating. Then the opening right here, that gap measures 7/8 of an inch. Now please keep in mind that tie-down straps must be chosen according to their safe working load limit. The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps being used. That's going to do it for today's look at the Erickson ratchet tie-down straps with web clamps.
