🎙️ VIDEO TRANSCRIPT:
What happened to Job? Job was a blessed man. By all accounts, when you look at his life, he was married, he had many kids, very wealthy, and then you cut to this scene in heaven where you see God praising Job as a righteous man, faithful. But then you actually see Satan step into this conversation and say he's only faithful because you've been so good to him. God actually allows Satan to start messing around with Job's life. So Job loses everything. He loses all of his wealth, even loses his children. Eventually, he loses his health, with boils and sores covering his body. In all of this, he doesn't stray from God. His wife says, "Curse God and die," but Job says, "Give it to the Lord, take it away. Blessed be the name of the Lord." Throughout the account of Job, you just see this wrestling with why do the righteous suffer. In the end, you see God show up, and when Job has all of these questions that he wants to load on God, he has nothing to say. We see that God restores to Job everything that he lost. He gets his health back, he gets his wealth back, and even gets 10 more children.
