Pressurisation Systems – Overpressure Relief Explained

Описание к видео Pressurisation Systems – Overpressure Relief Explained

Overpressure relief, used in smoke ventilation pressurisation systems, exists to stop air pressure in a protected zone from getting too high. When we pump air into a zone in order to protect it, there's a risk that the air pressure will raise to a point where the stair or lobby door is forced shut against the jamb, stopping occupants from escaping. This is why overpressure relief is so crucial.

How is overpressure relief achieved? In this video we explain three options of how to do so, and take a closer look at what BS EN 12101-6 says on the matter. Subscribe if you'd like to see more of our content!
