This is VERY early game dragon build and at this point, many different setups can most likely work for you. The point of the build is to use same damage dealers that you are using already in your wave build, so that you can have optimal progress and don't need to level up any additional units for the dragon.

The bottom row of heroes is optional, and I go through that in the video. Dark Ice Wizard is as good option as Ogre for keeping ground monsters away from your castle, but once you are strong enough, that should no longer be a problem and you can simply focus on offense.
